Steve Bishop

Standard Ballad

Gallery 3 ventures beyond the walls of the gallery developing imaginative ways to work with artists and engage new audiences.

We are delighted to present the second iteration of our screening series with a work by London-based artist Steve Bishop. We are working with Bishop on his forthcoming exhibition in Gallery 2, his first in Ireland, which will open alongside Yuri Pattison’s solo exhibition.

Working across sculpture, installation and film, Bishop’s work often references the familiar or domestic. Through multi-layered environments, everyday objects are presented in their essence or abstracted, creating spaces which are non-places, in which things stand still. Through a poignant absence, interior states and emotions emerge.
