Student Forum 2026

The Conditions of Being Here

Opening: Thursday, September 24th, 6pm
Exhibition continues: Friday 25th – Monday 28th September, 12 – 5pm

The Douglas Hyde is delighted to present a group exhibition organised by the members of the 2026 Student Forum.

Reflecting the group’s exchange of ideas and perspectives throughout the year, the exhibition reveals the ways that the members navigate, shape, and become influenced by their environments – urban and rural, imagined and physical. To be somewhere is to encounter conditions that were already there, calling into question structures of access, ownership, architecture, expectation and behaviour.

The exhibition participants are: Rofaida AlQaisi, Melek Biberoglu, Gillian Boardman, Deva Cervera, Ciara Davitt, Padraig Dennan, Aoife Dunne, Sarah Edwards, Sean Farrell, Jack Galligan, Alba Molina, Emma Murphy, Berenice Guerrero Pattugalan, James Wellwood, Dylan Yearsley.
