Tate Etc. | Issue 53, Autumn 2021

13.00

Tate Etc. is an arts magazine produced within Britain’s Tate organisation of arts and museums, published three times a year.

In this autumn issue, they are celebrating the new Tate Britain exhibition Life Between Islands: Caribbean-British Art 50s – Now. The cover artwork is from Glasgow-based, Barbadian born artist, Alberta Whittle, called Celestial Meditations in which she explores ideas of past and present with humour and nuance.

Elsewhere, there’s a look at William Hogarth and his European influences, the new Tate Modern installation by Anicka Yi and the hugely eclectic work of Lucy McKenzie at Tate Liverpool.
