An Artistic Eye
As part of our An Artistic Eye Series we asked Marcel Vidal: how do they become and artist? What is the best thing about being an artist? What do they all day?

The Douglas Hyde is delighted to welcome Aoife McCloughlin as the fourth Provost’s Fellow in Curating. Established in 2020, the Provost’s Fellowship in Curating offers recent graduates of Trinity College Dublin the opportunity to work within The Douglas Hyde over a period of twelve months. Through hands-on work and mentorship, the Fellow is given insight into the daily workings of the organisation and its programme, while contributing to discourses within the Gallery, Trinity College and further afield. The Fellowship, which is generously supported by the Office of the Provost, fosters new generations of arts professionals by giving practical experience of working within one of Ireland’s leading contemporary art spaces.

The Douglas Hyde is delighted to launch the second in our series of limited editions, titled Rupture by artist Willie Doherty. Willie Doherty has very kindly donated this exclusive print in an edition of 10 to the Gallery on the culmination of his eight year term as a member of our Board.
