As part of our An Artistic Eye Series we asked Áine McBride: how do they become and artist? What is the best thing about being an artist? What do they all day?

Anne Tallentire
response response
As part of our Response Series The Douglas Hyde is delighted to share Anne Tallentire’s response to the work of Áine McBride within the exhibition From Here to There.
Embodying Tallentire’s practice response response formalises ongoing concerns between the artists. The response takes a material form in three parts: a PDF file, a double sided AO poster, and 16 double sided A4 sheets folded to make one A5 booklet.
Relating to the methodology and rational of state of play, the AO poster resides as a partially visible element within the space of McBride’s sculpture staging. The booklet is accessible at the gallery’s desk for the duration of the show and the PDF is available online here.
