Published in December 2020 by Launchpad and Kerlin Gallery, in association with The Douglas Hyde Gallery, Curling up with reality brings together a survey of Isabel Nolan’s work over the last decade including her solo exhibition Calling on Gravity in Gallery 1 in 2017, as well as at Kunstverein Langenhagen (2018); EVA International, Limerick (2018); Contemporary Art Gallery, Vancouver (2016) and Irish Museum of Modern Art (2014).
The publication also features twenty pieces of writing by Nolan which explore everything from the work of fellow artists Willie Doherty and Garret Phelan to atomic aesthetics and personal musings about the fictional Tony Soprano in the Kunsthistorisches Museum, Vienna.
