Áine McBride is a visual artist based in Dublin working in sculpture and photographic form. Recent solo shows include ~set at mother’s tankstation London (2019), work suite at mother’s tankstation Dublin (2018), and habitat hq, an off-site Douglas Hyde Gallery project, which responded to the brutalist architectural space of the Arts Building via situated sculptural forms (2017). In 2020 McBride will produce an ambitious new body of work for EVA International, Limerick; and will present a photographic project following a residency at The Darkroom, Dublin. McBride graduated in Sculpture and Visual Culture, NCAD in 2016 and in Structural Engineering, DIT in 2010. She is currently a resident artist at Fire Station Artist Studios and is represented by mother’s tankstation gallery Dublin | London.
