Seeing the Gallery as a space of rehearsal, the programme invites participants to activate the ‘exit horn’, signalling the opening of informal discussion with those present. The aim is for conversations to be led by a shared series of ‘exits’, be they personal, societal, political.

The group then moves to ‘the lift’ . Participants gather to lift the central work in the exhibition titled LIFT, which is comprised of nine chrome plated trombone horns arranged in a circle. In lifting and holding a note together, participants in the work transform an act of solidarity into physical vibrational force.

The sessions take place throughout the exhibition, with space available. We are interested to hear from individuals or collectives who would like to participate in the programme.

If you would like to take part, please email emma.moore@tcd.ie to tell us a little bit about yourself or your collective.
