In this workshop participants will be encouraged to express themselves by responding to a poem. Using this poem as inspiration, students will use painting or another mediums to explore the themes within the work. This workshop will focus on art-making processes and self-expression.

Jena Wade is a contemporary figurative painter, based in Waterford and Dublin. She is drawn to exploring quiet, contemplative moments in her paintings, which focus on the poetics of transition, relationship and memory. As well as her visual arts practice, she has a background in publishing and studied English Literature at University College Cork. Her solo show Interstices will take place in GOMA Waterford in 2024.
