Discover the world of Liliane Tomasko’s artistic practice through her insightful essay Translation exploring her distinctive formal approach to painting and the nuanced choices that define her unique visual language.
In this movement- and sound-based workshop, writer, composer and choreographer Deirdre Murphy will explore one of the key systems of our species: community. It will be a radical look at the contexts in which we have meaningful interaction. Participants will tune in with their bodies, voices and the room through a series of task-based exercises. There will be humming and singing, spontaneous ritual, partner work, and an exploration of interacting outside of social norms – creating a physical laboratory to redefine social relations. Please wear clothing which is comfortable to move in. If you have a yoga mat, please bring it.
No experience is necessary – this workshop is open to all and will appeal particularly to those with an interest in physical and sound-based practices as a route to expanding the horizons of social relations.
