The Quickening

Eat Food Policy Workshop

As part of Deirdre O’Mahony’s The Quickening exhibition engagement programme, The Douglas Hyde is delighted to present the Eat Food Policy Workshop, a generative event responding to the urgent need for a multidisciplinary approach to food production, farming, and the climate crisis.

Guest scientists, farmers, food producers and policymakers from the community are invited to propose topics for discussion and introduce dynamic perspectives inspired by their work, their view on society, and their place in the world each encouraging the participants to think beyond their habitual positions and to share ideas on what sustainable food production might mean in the future.

Participants are advised that the workshop conversations will be audio-recorded for later transcription. However, comments and opinions will not be attributed to individuals in any future dissemination.

Places for the workshop are limited and booking is required. FULLY BOOKED
